When the weather is nice, my dogs go to our upper deck (so they can look over the fence) and bark (continuously) at the other dogs in the neighborhood. We are surrounded by dogs here. One or two in every house. Cooper is tall and skinny so he can stick his head between the spindles, but Tater is short and plump, so he stands on the top of the stairs. They bark even when no one is out, calling out to them. I think they are the two sweetest creatures God ever put on this earth...I'm sure my neighbors would disagree.

Barking dogs always make me think of an old 'Far Side' cartoon. In the panel, a scientist was testing his 'dog translator' to see what dogs were saying when they barked. According to the cartoon, all dogs are really saying is 'hey!' So, see? Cooper and Tate are just shouting out to their peeps.

Awww... makes me want to go pat Oskar. But only kinda. He got in the kitchen trash last night. Arrrrghhh. My word was "pestesti" which immediately reminded me of his antics. Sigh.
