When I was a little girl, my Momma would manage to drag most, if not all of her children to the local zoo every autumn. I have happy memories there, and I took my children many, many times myself. Since my brother Mike died, 7 years ago...the remaining siblings haven't been together. We had many holidays together but someone was always missing. This weekend, we are planning a trip to the zoo...just like when we were kids....and there is rumors that everyone will be attending...that will be something! I hope it pans out...I don't get my hopes up, but all the same I am excited!
We use to sing a song...'We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you! You can come too, too, too! We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!" (What??...my sister was a preschool teacher at the time!) LOL
It will be just like old times!

I know that song! I love that song! I used to sing that song to my kids when we went to the zoo. Carol. At the risk of being overly protective. It won't be like old times. That will be so sad since everyone won't be there. It will be like new times. New memories. As a friend, and knowing your tender heart, I just want to say that to you. And you can slap me now.
Oh, and "you're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo...."
