Catching up....

(Luke at the back patio door)
Luke has been cutting teeth on the top...we thought he was getting sick but it turns out that he is cranky from that. Glad he wasn't getting a cold or worse!

(Turkey cookie creation by Rita)
Rita had us over one evening last week....so we could scrap and the boys played video games. It was fun! She made these adorable turkey cookies.
(Brittany, Adam, Me, Dwen, Sara & Zack)
My brother hosted the family for Thanksgiving last Sunday. It was nice...lots of delicious food, and my kids brought their 'others' with them. I don't like either of them but I was trying to be nice. I was kind of hoping Brittany and Zack would fall in love at first sight and leave both of my children heartbroken....but no such luck!

(Sara's 1st Christmas tree)
Sara and I love the Christmas season. We have many traditions we do. She has always been the one to help set it all up and even convince me, a time or two, to get the tree out in October...this is our first year that we aren't together. She has her own tree. Even though she raided my stuff....she texted me that while putting the tree up without me there, she was sad.... she loves her tree and that she learned from the best. I have to say seeing her very first ornament bought in 1987, hanging on her tree and not mine...made me sad! Made me wanna cry. Here is my girlies 1st tree!

The Wedding
Jackie is my ex sister in law. My nephew's Momma. I have known Jackie since 6th grade. She and I were best friends all through school and then she married my brother and that made us sisters! They ended up divorcing and it was not pretty. I tried not to pick sides, but our friendship went into a coma for a few years. Looking back it was probably needed for her...so she could heal. We started talking again about 5 years ago or so, although we aren't close like we use to be, we still get along perfectly. She asked me to take pictures at her wedding, and how could I resist! My oldest friend. I love her husband too...he will make her happy. That's what it boils down too at the end of it all isn't it!
(Jackie & Me dancing)

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Celebrate life and spend time with the ones who matter!
