Blizzard

We were graced with blizzard like conditions here in Kansas. It all started Christmas Eve and has been going on every since. We went to the in-laws on Christmas Eve and they live in Independence. About a 45 minute drive normally, almost a hour and a half in a car that is not meant for snow. The closer we got to our house the bigger the waves came...the snow was drifting and blowing so bad it looked like waves from the ocean rolling across the highway...scary and beautiful all at the same time. I haven't taken many pictures, that is due to change....but these are a few I snapped off on Christmas morning. Our front door stoop....

(I'm standing in our garage...someone stole the stairs!)

(I shoveled a straight line out of the garage so I could walk without getting my jeans all wet...)
Look at my poor wreath, the window guys broke my storm door, which would have protected it...wah! As I type this entry...I look out my window and see it snowing.....I'm too old to be shoveling this much snow! Maybe I should just put my house slippers on and get me a cup of coffee and dream of spring!

Ah man. So envious! Take a picture at sunset if you can...when the snow is all pink and sparkly. I miss that so much!
