M is for Music

(Michael Buble)

Music...is a big part of our everyday lives. This is true for most people. I associate artists and songs to certain people in my life. For instance, my Momma loved Patsy Cline...she played her music a lot when I was a kid...when I miss her....I play Patsy. My kids, now associates, Patsy to me. (My Mother passed before they were born.)

I took my kids to both of their first concerts...Sara's was Back Street Boys and Adam's was Ozzfest-- mainly to see Judas Priest. I grew up listening to all kinds of music. I had 6 older siblings and they all listened to different genres. My first concert was Motley Crue. (My Mother didn't approve!) Dwen & I love going....one of our first dates was to see Little River Band.

(Garth Brooks)

We don't get all drunked up in the parking lot...my girlfriends and I don't get all dressed up in slinky outfits....I spend the money to see artist I love and to be entertained.
(Bon Jovi)

I take my camera to just about every show too!
(Van Halen)
I couldn't tell you how many concerts I've been too total....lost count so very long ago. I love music....it can move me more than art or poetry....a beautiful song can make you take a moment, remember and breathe!

I'm participating in Alpha-Thursday over at Jenny's....come play along!

Carol, such a fun post! A couple of weeks ago Bob and I sat down and tried to remember the concerts we have been to since we've been married. We made a sidebar post on my blog. We have seen a lot of the same people!

I love musis too! My hubby has over 1000 CD's and we have i-pods, and XM radio and every other device that can play tunes!
My son loves to do to concerts, he has been 3 times to Bonnaroo and Lolypolusa(sp)in Chicago. I think that we have passed our love of music to our kids!

I haven't been to a ton of concerts but the ones I went to I can remember so clearly. Lover Boy was my first (does anyone even remember them?) I loved VanHalen - great show!

Where would we be without music. I am an eclectic music lover. It's fun with teenagers now because I get to hear their songs they like...and I like some of them too. Joni

I used to be more ardent about music. It can be very moving.

My husband and I used to love to go to concerts. My biggest regret is he bought tickets for us to go see Pink Floyd in Pittsburgh and I was mad at him and didn't go ;-( He went and still has the ticket I didn't use. I never did get a chance to see them live. What a fool I was.

Oh gosh, I used to LIVE for concerts back in the 80's. I've saved every single ticket stub. All heavy metal, R-n-R shows. Cheap Trick was my 1st & I went gung-ho after that. AND, remember how inexpensive the tickets were? I remember paying $7.50 to see AC/DC!

It is really amazing how music can bring back so many memories! And how we can remember a song, even if it has been soooo long since we heard it! I love music, and my hubby, mom's family, and our children are so musically gifted...they all have amazing voices and can play instruments... hm...so I dont know how with all that talent around me, why I "make a joyful noise" or find myself clapping a little offbeat... oh well :o)

Blessings & Aloha!
(Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments :o) I am happy you enjoyed the artwork that I do. Please come back any time)

What a great post! Music is a huge part of our lives, we listen to anything and everything except rap. I've tried, honestly, but I just don't get it. Our daughter is about to graduate from the UNT College of Music as a band director. Loved this post! Kathy

Yes, there's nothing like music to get you all pumped up and ready to go. If I'm in a bad mood I turn on the music.

Concert going is so memorable! The music and the experience. I've heard Garth Brooks concerts were quite unique!

Isn't it interesting just how big a part music plays in our lives, even though we may not realize it? I know I listen to music every single day and take it for granted, but if I accidentally leave my earphones at home, I feel the difference acutely!

Looks like you've been to some awesome shows!! Do you have a favorite??
