The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is an art museum in Kansas City, Missouri, known for its neo-classical architecture and extensive collection of Asian art.The museum was built on the grounds of Oak Hall, the home of Kansas City Star publisher William Rockhill Nelson. Ground was broken in 1930, and the museum opened on December 11, 1933.
My family and I have been many time to the Nelson-Atkins museum...my husband has even done work on their web site. Here are a few photos:

This looks like a fantastic place. Love the shot of the Thinker! And never, ever apologize for liking or not liking a particular type of music/singer. Differences in taste are what give us such an amazing variety of things to read and listen to! Kathy

My daughter loves the Nelson! DH and I enjoy going on Friday nights to dinner at Rozelle Court with live jazz music, and then wandering through the museum until closing time. Have you ever done that?

The badminton shuttlecock really caught my eye. It's my hubby's favorite sport, and it's his birthday, so I'll share this with him.
