Ginger bread

Sara & I decided this year instead of making sugar cookie and decoration them...and then watching them get hard because no one wants to eat them...because 'they're so pretty'.. We would try our hands at ginger bread houses. We had never made them before and they seemed simple enough. We bought a couple kits at Micheal's and with some guidance from my MIL. We were set. My friend Sue & her daughter Kendra joined Sara & I one evening to 'play'.

 This is my house...

 Sara's house...

 Kendra & Sue's house...
We highly recommend this and plan on doing it again next year! No one eats the cookies...and no one will eat these houses....it is a wash...except all the time it takes to roll out the cookies, and bake them...the ginger bread houses actually are a more inexpensive night of fun!

They actually don't eat the sugar cookies?

Wow. That has soooo never happened here! I think they would eat the gingerbread houses, too, if I'd let them!

Thanks for letting me tag along on your fun time!

WOW! Those are gorgeous! They look so perfect you could take pictures of them and turn them into holiday cards.
