Me and the hubster had date night tonight! We went to the Fork & Screen to see Robin Hood with Russell Crowe. I like the legend of Robin Hood. The Disney version was Adam's favorite as a boy, we watched it several hundred times. However, after seeing Kevin Costner's version....I told myself to refrain from seeing anymore movies about Robin Hood. But hubster...being cute as a button and very persuasive...talked me into it. I gotta say I was confused for a while....it was nothing like the Disney version....or the Kevin Costner version....but by the end, I was on board. I really enjoyed it. I have no idea if the legend is true....nor do I know which version is absolute. I just know that I loved Russell Crowe as Maximus in Gladiator (he was smokin' hot) and in Robin Hood the hottie returns!
Play along with us, for Alphabet-Thursday...over at Jenny's blog!

Thanks for the great review without revealing any details. I'm hoping to see it on Friday. Keep blogging!
I'll be back.
I can't wait to see this movie! Russel Crowe is SMOKIN' HOT!
I am glad it was good. It looked great in the ads.
true or not, excellent legend/principal.
Thank you for the movie review. Sounds like one I should go and see.

well it sounds interesting and i do love Cate Blanchett (who is also in it) so I just might give this a try
Ever since I saw this movie was coming out, I've been wanting to go see it. I've seen many different Robin Hoods. This was supposed to be totally different than all those, sounds like that's true. Thanks for the little review. Great R post.
I'll wait until it comes to DVD.... like I have a choice.
Oh, I'll have to see it too...LOVE Russell Crow movies...great R post!
hubster and i saw it too..i was dreading it, but actually enjoyed it--in the end. it was a bit long though--don't you think?
I have not seen this movie yet, but I do like Russell Crowe... he is an amazing actor! Have you ever seen any of the BBC Tv version of Robin Hood?
I was supposed to stick with the odd posts this week, but who could resist Robin Hood. I loved the Disney one growing up too. And tried to find other good versions for my boys to watch when they were young as well. One of our favorites is the 1938 version with Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, and Basil Rathbone. In their older age, they got really in to the Robin Hood BBC tv miniseries for a while.
